Best laid plans and all that...
It's hard to think that Christmas is just around the corner, although even more difficult to imagine what form it will take this year. Having decided on a date to open up the studio over the festive period, I was scuppered by Lockdown 2!
All is not lost, as we are just moving it one week further to the weekend of 5-6 December. With my usual trip out to take part in Gorgeous run by the Shropshire Guild of Contemporary Craft cancelled. there is more emphasis on online and promoting work through galleries ... for when they open in early December.
Mostyn Gallery Shop in Llandudno have been such great supporters, not only stocking my work year round in their shop, but also inviting me to take part in their Winter Showcase - Gifts from Wales & The Borders. I haven't seen the display as everything went by parcel post, as they were in lockdown before England. Mostyn opened up again 11 November so if you are near the North Wales coast, drop by.
LindenTree Gallery in Much Wenlock have had a large consignment from me and planned a huge rustic wooden Christmas tree for their window. They have opened up an online gallery whilst the lockdowns continue. They will be open from 2 December (hopefully) showing lots of unique and beautiful artworks and craft by Shropshire artists and makers.
And there was the added bonus of being invited to show work in a new gallery. The Angel Gallery in Broseley in Shropshire are displaying a selection of my work until 20 December alongside a range of local artists and makers - and are also taking orders online too.
