Inspired by drone photographs of landscapes of my home county of Shropshire, this 20cm float framed mosaic sings with green stained glass pieces. All hand cut and mounted on a lightweight panel within the hand painted black frame. Apertures I

Inspired by the idyllic Shropshire countryside, the gardens of Hodnet Hall and the vineyards of Hencote, just outside the town of Shrewsbury. The window effect was influenced by the stained glass artist Trena Cox, and her work at Holywell Church, hence the title Apertures. The dynamism of the diagonals and the flow of the curved frames create a walk through the flowers and fields, towards the blue remembered hills of A. E.
