A new mosaic studio

At last!

A space to work in.

After many years of creating mosaics in fairly ad hoc places at home, I had the good fortune to meet Meg Arrol from Parker & Arrol, a textile business in Shrewsbury. By a stroke of luck they had a vacant studio space below them in an amazing courtyard right in the heart of Shrewsbury. It was large, airy and reasonable light despite seeing it in the middle of December.

Of course, it took me three months to make my mind up - who knew that gift horses look you right in the eye! It also took a couple of half-hearted job applications to spur me on.

So armed with over 20 litres of white emulsion I set to work, creating the studio space of my dreams.
